TC Disrupt is one of the most well-known events in the startup world. In 2023, the XSight team had the honor of representing a delegation of Ukrainian startups and presenting their incredible breakthrough in the world of augmented reality.
A total of 10,000 people attended the event, and most of them couldn't pass by the XSight booth without trying themselves in the world of augmented reality. All participants were excited about the idea of creating their own mini-game, completing tasks, and earning virtual coins that could later be exchanged for real-world prizes and even cryptocurrency.
The trip to TC Disrupt left a mixed impression. On the one hand, we are thrilled that XSight attracted new investors and users. On the other hand, there were very few truly unique startups presented at the event.
It's worth noting, that besides user interest, XSight also caught the attention of many investors. To attract more people, the XSight team participated in panel discussions and after-parties. As a result, we left TC Disrupt with contacts from 30 interested investors, and we've already started preparations for collaboration with some of them.
Our target investors, Bitkraft and General Catalyst, are already looking forward to a planned online meeting to discuss all the details.
Furthermore, XSight is expanding its geographical reach. At the event, we met with representatives from businesses in Saudi Arabia, Japan, and India, all of whom are interested in promoting XSight in their countries. An interesting fact about our partners from India is that they want to launch the XSight app at a university with 350,000 students. Three hundred and fifty thousand people on XSight – can you imagine what a massive community that will be?
We are also potentially planning to launch a project in collaboration with Blazing Saddles in the form of a city guide. They are a company with the largest bicycle rental park in California and over 40 years of history.
Additionally, TC Disrupt visitors had the opportunity to try a mini-game in collaboration with Shaquille O'Neal. Players had to steal basketballs from Shaquille, while he, in turn, had to take coins from the players.
